Penile injection therapy

Penile injection therapy is another way to treat ED when oral medications have failed. This involves teaching a patient how to inject medicine into his penis, using a needle and syringe, when he wants to have an erection. The medicine causes blood to flow into the penis producing an erection. Injection therapy has been available for several decades and for some men can work well. The needle is small. Statistics show that most men who begin penile injection therapy will quit within a year or so; pain with injection is common and priapism (a prolonged, painful erection) is possible with injections. Overall success rates are about 60%. penile injection therapy
